13 Mysterious and Disturbing Objects

13 Mysterious and Disturbing Objects - YouTube

Transcripts:
The Copper Scroll. It was sometime between late 1946 and early 1947. A young shepherd was strolling along the rocky terrain of Kumran, located just one mile northwest of the Dead Sea, searching for his lost goat. Among the cliffs, he came across a cave. Believing there was a chance his goat had wandered inside, he picked up a rock and threw it in, only to hear the sound of pottery shattering inside.
Not only did he just discover a series of ancient jars over 2,000 years old, but inside of those jars, as he would soon learn, were scrolls containing the oldest known copies of the Hebrew Bible. Of course, the thousands upon thousands of manuscript fragments found on the site would come to be known as the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the incident would spark one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century.
However, this section isn't about the scrolls. It's about one specific scroll, the copper scroll. It was found among the others, but it remains completely unique, standing as an anomaly among the surrounding Bible fragments. Whereas the rest of the scrolls were found to have been written on various forms of parchment or papyrus, the copper scroll obviously was written on metal.
It was found on March 14th, 1952 when archaeologists exploring cave 3 at Kuman found it in two heavily corroded halves. The metal had rusted so severely over the 2,000 years it had been sitting in that cave that it had become extremely brittle, making it impossible to unroll without completely destroying it.
Between 1955 and 1956, Professor H. Wright Baker painstakingly sliced the scroll into 23 strips using a specialized saw, revealing the ancient text one section at a time. Its contents were completely unexpected. What they had found was an ancient treasure map written in a unique form of Mishnaic Hebrew with occasional Greek letter codes.
It cataloged 64 locations across ancient Palestine where supposedly massive quantities of gold, silver, and other sacred objects were hidden. The full treasure of precious metals the text describes is potentially worth billions in today's currency. One location alone lists 900 talents or roughly 30 tons of silver. The directions seem deliberately cryptic, written as though the reader possessed intimate knowledge of obscure landmarks.
Numerous expeditions have searched for this treasure since the discovery of the scroll. However, despite decades of searching and modern technology, not a single item from the copper scrolls inventory has been found. Scholars still debate where the treasure from the copper scroll came from with many believing that it came from the wealth of the second temple.
Some speculate that the treasures were removed from the temple and were then hidden to avoid them from being stolen by the Romans in the first century. The lost World Trade Center cameras. This is one that's been on my mind for a long time and unfortunately it's almost certain that this one no longer exists.
In some footage from Street Level on the day of the attacks, if you zoom up onto the highest floors, somewhere around the 105th floor, you can see what appears to be a man holding a camcorder filming himself and those around him as they all lean out of the windows to get air. I've looked over this footage a lot, and based on the size of the object, the color, and the way he's holding the object, as if it has a hand strap, it really does seem to be a camcorder.
I actually own a very similar camcorder which is from the same period as it seems we're looking at in the video. And if you look at the way that he's holding it, I can't really think of any other object that you would hold like this that you could hold like this securely without a hand strap like you have on a camcorder.
Others have speculated that it's a cell phone and that the man is trying to get reception, but I think it's way too large for that with it appearing to be closer in size to his head. Now, the question everyone's sorely wondering regarding this camera is, well, did it survive? Did he make it down to the ground with the footage? Well, to answer one part of that question, unfortunately, the man in the video, along with the others surrounding him, certainly did not survive.
From what I've pieced together, what we're looking at in this video is a view of the west face of the North Tower. And on that day, if you were anywhere above the 100th floor at 8:46 a.m., your fate was sealed as the impact severed all stairwells A, B, and C. With that being said, though, there is a chance that this camera survived.
Granted, it's probably extremely unlikely, but not impossible. And here's why. Following the collapse of the buildings, the debris was heavily thoroughly searched bucket by bucket for any signs of identifiable remains or evidence. And as a result, many highly specific objects were found in the rubble. Through a family connection, I'm personally aware of someone who worked in the World Trade Center complex.
>> [music]>> When everyone received the orders to evacuate and exit the buildings, he accidentally left his wallet at his desk. His building was one of the few which completely collapsed down to the footprint. I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this, but sometime later, a recovery team would get into contact with him and they would return to him his intact wallet with everything still inside.
You might be thinking, "Well, okay, but a wallet is probably a little more durable than a flimsy plastic camera, right? Maybe or maybe not." What if I told you another camera actually does exist from that day and survived in a very similar fashion, photographs and all to the point where the camera was located, the photos developed, and apparently are still held by the FBI.
This camera, a completely separate disposable camera, was originally discussed in December of 2003 in an article from the Baltimore Sun written by acclaimed reporter Laura Sullivan. In her article, she describes what she saw upon being given access to the FBI's highly secure national laboratory, more specifically to the highly secured evidence bay 1284, where evidence from 9/11 was being stored and analyzed.
One particular section of her article is relevant to us. She writes, "There is one other piece of evidence of the events leading to the collapse of the towers that few outside the unit know of. Unit members found a disposable camera in the pocket of a victim. When they developed the film months later, investigators found a chilling chronology of the man's experience that morning.
" The photos show the man, who appears to be a construction worker, standing at the window as the other tower burns behind him. The photos, which include pictures he took as well as a few taken by someone else, also capture other people falling. The man looks stricken, his face one of shock and disbelief. His family is aware of the photos, investigators said, but has not asked to see them.
The craziest part about this camera is the fact that according to this tweet from Laura, she apparently saw the photos herself and confirmed that they existed. But now, for better or for worse, they've fallen into the category of lost media with the camera and photographs seemingly having been misplaced in the mountain of evidence.
Multitudes of foyer requests have been filed with attempts to recover the photos due to their historical significance. But over the years, the FBI has either denied these requests, replied that they were unable to locate the photographs, or that they might know where it is, but that searching for the item would be too burdensome to justify.
It's impossible to say where these photographs are now, but it's certainly possible that they're still being held uncataloged within the FBI's archives. As for the camcorder from the beginning of this story, there's no evidence or report that it was ever found. But again, given the fact that we wouldn't even know about the disposable camera if it weren't for Laura's reporting, and the fact that we know each and every piece of evidence was sifted through from that day, if this recording truly does exist, it's sure to be one of the
most haunting pieces of media on Earth. The Tekk Kali Tahqua head. In 1933, Mexican archaeologist JoseΓ© Garcia Pon discovered something extraordinary beneath a pyramid at Kalahakqua. Located approximately 40 m northwest of Mexico City. Buried under three cemented floors and undisturbed for hundreds of years alongside offerings of gold, copper, and other precious stones, sat a small terracotta head that has the chance of completely uprooting our understanding of pre-Colombian history.
The head measuring roughly 1 in tall depicts a bearded man with tightly curled hair and features that look remarkably Caucasian, completely unlike anything else found at the site and possibly unlike anything else found on the continent. The burial itself dated to between 1476 and 1510, meaning it was buried just before Spanish concistadors reached central Mexico in the 1520s.
And yet, this tiny artifact appears to be much, much older. We're talking perhaps over a thousand years older. When Austrian anthropologist Robert Hina Gelder examined the head in 1961, he declared that it unquestionably derived from Henistic Roman art, dating it to around 200 AD based on its distinctive naturalistic style.
I'm sure I don't need to spell out why this is absolutely mindblowing. Before the Spanish concistadors came to America in the late 15th and 16th centuries, there was literally no known contact between the old world and the new world ever since the flooding of the Bearing Land Bridge some 11,000 years ago.
Of course, there was the exception of the Vikings who are now confirmed to have beaten Columbus to America by around 500 years with evidence of their presence in New Foundland. The Vikings presence in America appears to have been extremely brief and they didn't go much farther than the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
With thehead being found all the way down in central Mexico, the Vikings are irrelevant to this discussion. Regardless if an object from ancient Rome existed in Mexico before the Spanish came, either our understanding of history is flawed, missing a major expedition, or some teleporting time traveler had a hole in his bag. Bernard Andrea, former director of the German Archaeological Institute in Rome, confirmed the assessment by Robert Hainelder, identifying the hairstyle and beard as characteristic of the sever emperors who ruled Rome from 193 to 235 AD. Even more
astonishing, in 1995, thermoluminescence testing at the University of H Highleberg established that the head was fired somewhere between the 9th century BC and the 13th century AD, definitively ruling out colonial era manufacturer. The science was literally confirming what already appeared intuitively true, that this piece was genuinely from ancient Rome.
If authentic, the head supports archaeologist Romeo Kristoff's theory of accidental pre-Colombian transatlantic contact. Kristoff points to archaeological evidence that Romans, Phoenicians, and Berbers reached the Canary Islands, establishing a dye workshop on the island of Lobos between the 1st century BC and 1st century AD.
Given this fact, Rusttov argues that based on the existence of the head, it's entirely plausible that a scenario similar to the following may have occurred. It's possible that a Roman or potentially Phoenician or Berber ship could have sailed or accidentally drifted across the Atlantic, eventually wrecking or landing in the Americas carrying this head.
Obviously, without finding any actual remnants of a ship like this, there's no way to know if something like it actually ever existed, or perhaps more interestingly, if there were men aboard, possibly the first Europeans to see this land in thousands and thousands of years. It's pretty mind-blowing to consider the fact that it is possible that this actually happened.
Either way, it's not hard to see how a vessel manned or unmanned could have drifted accidentally across the Atlantic and delivered cargo into native hands. From there, perhaps it was traded until reaching Mexico and being buried at the site centuries later. In other words, this doesn't seem to have been a deliberate colonization if it did happen. More of an accidental exchange.
Maybe the only exchange of its kind to ever happen in human history. bridging one half of the earth to the other for the first time in something like 10,000 years. Don't you love your friends? Don't you love your family? Then why haven't you bought them a Christmas gift yet? Yeah, I'm talking to you directly to you.
I know exactly what kind of man andor woman you are. Most importantly, I know that you have a terrible sleep schedule. Don't worry, though. I am looking out for you and I've got the perfect solution to all these problems. That solution is Mantis Sleep. For real though, if you or anyone you know is suffering from insomnia or sleep problems of any kind, the unique sleep masks from Mantisleep can absolutely change that.
I've already spoken about this numerous times now, but I really did struggle with insomnia for a very long time in my life. And when Mantisle sent me these masks, they actually did play a huge part in pulling me out of that hole around a year ago. The unique eye cups on the masks from Mantisle prevent contact with your eyes, making for an extremely comfortable experience that effectively places you in total darkness no matter the lighting situation.
I've been using a variety of their masks for a long time now, including their silk mask, pro mask, and their cooled mask. Beyond these, they also have a weighted mask and even a sound sleep mask with thin Bluetooth speakers inside so you can completely isolate yourself from your surroundings. On top of all this, they also sell this really unique white noise machine that's designed to block city noise and neighboring voices with a sound shield before it can even reach your ears.
If you need a last minute gift idea for this Christmas, this seriously might be a great opportunity. If you or a loved one is suffering from poor sleep or fatigue, follow the link in the description and use code fortune to get 10% off your order. Schul notes. Imagine pouring a bowl of cereal and watching a folded piece of paper fall into your bowl.
You unfold it to find dense, nearly illeible text crammed with conspiracy theories, bizarre abbreviations, and warnings about secret societies. As wild as this sounds, it's been happening across Pennsylvania for nearly a decade, and nobody knows who's behind it. The Schul notes are named after Schul County, where they first appeared in significant numbers.
It's hard to say exactly when this first began happening, with some reports suggesting similar notes surfacing as early as 2015, but by June of 2020, hundreds of people across Pennsylvania had come forward with their own discoveries. The notes themselves follow a pretty consistent pattern. They're roughly 2x3 in, typically containing 19 lines of text, printed in narrow font on standard 20 lb paper.
What's written on them, however, is a bit harder to explain. It's this peculiar word salad of conspiracy theory style jargon. One snippet goes like this. SS agents/fams create confusion/ division, conditioning us to be controlled. terms NWO New Day/Age SLHOP change identity SS/reals merge VAT/EU/Mafia/FBI this kind of thing will go on and on for the entirety of the page there are these strange abbreviations with misplaced or redundant apostrophes making the message deliberately cryptic the notes weave together references to again secret societies, the New World
Order, the Nazis, celebrities, corporations like Toyota and Fizer, and even science fiction franchises like Lord of the Rings. What makes this disturbing is the fact that they were initially found again primarily inside food packaging at grocery stores throughout Shul County and surrounding areas. cereals, chocolate, cake mix, candy, even inside infant Tylenol, which drew unsettling parallels to the unsolved Chicago Tylenol murders from 1982, which is the exact reason why medicines and foods nowadays are supposed to be
tamperresistant. Though, apparently, this isn't as effective as they'd like us to think. People have found these notes at Walmart, Target, Wegman's, Trader Joe's, Dollar General, CVS, and Aldi. The fact that these notes were appearing inside supposedly sealed packages immediately drew food safety concerns and triggered the attention of the federal government.
The FDA eventually launched an investigation as food tampering is a federal crime. Despite all this scrutiny, no perpetrator has been identified and the investigation never reached any conclusions. Then something interesting happened. By mid 2024, reports of notes in food packages declined sharply, and instead they started appearing predominantly outdoors, hanging from tree branches along hiking trails, clipped to stones in state parks, wrapped in waterproof plastic bags.
Again, this seemed to still remain in the same general area around central to eastern Pennsylvania. A subreddit was created in September of 2023 for reporting and tracking the locations of the notes. With over 25,000 members, users share photos of newly found notes, map their locations, and debate theories. A crowdsourced Google map made by user Marmalade 186 shows that the vast majority of the discoveries have been made in Pennsylvania, specifically skewed towards the eastern side of the state.
Others have appeared in the surrounding states of New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and Ohio with outliers plotted even farther with one in Niagara Falls, Canada, one in the outskirts of Chicago, and one at the very southern tip of Texas near the Mexican border. So, who's doing this? Some believe the vast majority are coming from a single perpetrator, others that they're coming from some kind of organized group.
The writing style suggests that the original author or authors are experiencing paranoia or delusions. If I had to speculate based on some similar cases like this that I've seen in the past, I'd guess that this probably all started with some crazy person in Pennsylvania going around tampering with food packaging and slipping in these sort of warnings, perhaps on a large scale.
After that, once the notes became something of an internet mystery, I have to assume that a fair amount of the new ones are probably coming from people who just want up votes on Reddit. In my opinion, this could explain why they stopped appearing in food packaging and started appearing on trails and in other public areas.
It's possible that committing a crime was a little bit too much of a risk for these copycats. Of course, that is just speculation. And still, even if there are fake ones being distributed now, I do think that the original ones that appeared in food packaging, probably took a very specific kind of mind to actually execute.
This combined with the fact that all of the originals seem to center around this eastern Pennsylvania area, I am led to believe that there probably was at least one distinct person or group of people responsible from the very beginning. The Oklahoma City bombing mystery leg. On the morning of April 19th, 1995, at precisely 9:02 a.m.
, a massive truck bomb exploded outside the Alfred Pura Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City. The bomb, constructed from approximately 5,000 lbs of ammonium nitrate fertilizer mixed with diesel fuel, had been assembled inside a rented rider truck and parked directly in front of the building's entrance. The blast was so powerful it destroyed the entire north face of the ninestory structure, reduced multiple floors to rubble, and damaged more than 300 surrounding buildings across a 48 block radius.
This, of course, was the Oklahoma City bombing where 168 people had been killed.Amidst all the evidence, one specific aspect of the bombing would remain unresolved for decades, and actually still hasn't even been solved to this day. On the 30th of May of that year, just over a month after the bombing, rescue workers searching through the rubble of the demolished federal building made a disturbing discovery.
A severed left leg. It was found inside a dark sock and a militarystyle black leather boot. Initially, forensic experts believed it belonged to a tall, light-skinned male, but there was a problem. The leg couldn't be matched with any of the known victims. Again, over a month had already passed since the bombing, and apparently no other friends or relatives had come to the police searching for a missing person.
As a result, Oklahoma's chief medical examiner, Dr. Fred Jordan raised the official death toll to 169 people. The story then takes a strange turn. After DNA analysis by the FBI, the leg didn't belong to a man. It belonged to a woman. And the reason why it was in a military-style leather boot was because it belonged to Airman Firstclass Lakesha Levy, a 21-year-old woman from Tinker Air Force Base who had been killed in the bombing.
part of the original 168 victims. The problem, however, was that she had already been buried with both of her legs. Obviously, this perplexed and disturbed the investigators. The only option they had was to go to New Orleans, where she was buried, exume her body, and investigate. They found that she had been buried with the wrong leg. Someone else's leg.
Yeah, the leg we've been talking about this entire time, the one found in the rubble on the 30th of May belonging to Lkesha Levy. That's not the mystery leg this entry is about. The mystery leg is this leg, the one she was accidentally buried with. They corrected their error, replacing this leg with her real leg and lying her back down to finally rest.
So, who did this leg belong to? They had no idea. And that's what was so insane about this when it happened. The authorities claimed that the mystery leg had been so heavily imbalmed when being prepared for burial that DNA extraction was no longer possible. Perpetrator Timothy McVeyy's defense attorney, Steven Jones, argued that the leg belonged to a third bomber, possibly the elusive John Doe number two, who multiple witnesses claimed to have seen with McVey in the days before the bombing.
However, because the leg was embalmed, the mystery seemingly would never be solved. That is until December of 2015 when investigative reporting by Fox 25 and the Washington Times seemingly made headway. It turned out that the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office had successfully extracted DNA from the leg back in 1997, nearly 2 years after the bombing.
A private laboratory called LabC Corp had analyzed samples of bone, skin, muscle, and a blood clot from the leg and was able to piece together a DNA profile. This profile was compared to 10 relevant victims, but matched none of them. For nearly 20 years, this crucial evidence had remained hidden, never disclosed to defense attorneys during McVeyy's or Terry Nicole's trial, and apparently unknown to even federal prosecutors.
Some believe that this leg belonged to another unaccounted for victim that somehow slipped through the cracks of the investigation. Others believe it belongs to another perpetrator, this other John Doe number two. The leg, designated as specimen P71 by investigators, had by this point been buried with other unidentified remains on the grounds of the Oklahoma State Capital.
We're left with a perplexing and sickening ambiguity. Was this some unknown 169th victim of the bombing? Perhaps someone whose disappearance was never reported? or does it belong to an additional bomber who was covered for during the trial and died in the blast? Multiple witnesses report seeing McVey with this other person named John Doe number two both at the truck rental facility and at the federal building.
Many believe that this leg belongs to this person. From what we can tell, there's no other people who perhaps went missing in the area around this time and who accidentally got caught in the blast. And as a result, we literally have no idea whose leg this was. The blue tana. On the evening of November 8th, 1923, a 34year-old Adolf Hitler and roughly 600 members of his paramilitary SA or stormtroopers stormed a beer hall in Munich attempting to overthrow the Bavarian government.
At this point in time, Hitler's Nazi party was a fringe movement with very little actual political influence. But the event would boost Hitler and the party to national attention for the first time, though the coup would ultimately fail, resulting in the deaths of 16 Nazi party members who were killed during the gunfight.
The following morning, something like 2,000 men marched through Munich streets carrying various Nazi banners, including a simple swastika flag belonging to the fifth SA unit. Eventually, roughly 130police officers blocked their path. And within seconds, gunfire erupted, killing the 16 Nazis and four police officers in under a minute.
The flag [music] bearer, Hinrich Tombau, was shot and dropped the banner. Andreas Barrele, marching beside him, took a bullet to the abdomen and collapsed directly onto the flag, soaking it with his blood. [music] This flag would come to be known as the blood flag or blute fauna, one of the Nazi party's most sacred relics. After Hitler's release from prison in December 1924, where he'd served 9 months for treason, the flag was returned to him.
He had it mounted on a new pole with a silver dedication sleeve engraved with the names of all 16 men who died that day. In 1926, Hitler declared it to be a sacred object and an SS officer named Yakob Grimminger was appointed as its exclusive bearer and guardian, a role he would hold for 19 years. At annual Nuremberg rallies, Hitler performed elaborate consecration ceremonies where he would touch new Nazi banners with the blute fauna, a way of sanctifying them.
The flag was treated with religious reverence stored in the Nazi headquarters known as the Brownhouse in Munich, complete with its own SS honor guard. [music] From what history has pieced together, the Blute Fauna would make its final public appearance on the 18th of October 1944. [music] It's unclear where it was brought after that day, and officially it has never been seen since.
[music] The most widely accepted theory is that it was destroyed during Allied bombing raids that demolished Munich in January and April of 1945, particularly when the Brownhouse was obliterated. [music] Perhaps it was heavily damaged and its remains were discarded, indistinguishable from any other flags in the building.
Some historians speculate that the flag may have been deliberately destroyed by the SS in order to avoid it becoming an Allied trophy. Others say it's totally possible that an Allied soldier could have come across the flag and taken it as a souvenir, whether they knew or didn't know the historical significance of it. As a result, it's possible that the flag is sitting in someone's grandma's attic right now, and nobody has any idea.
Griminger, the flag's bearer, actually survived the war and died in Munich in 1969, taking whatever secrets he knew about the blute to his grave. Utsurro. This one actually blew my mind when I heard about it. I cannot believe I did not know that this thing existed or might exist. I don't know. This is just a really strange one.
This next object was only witnessed once in history and was never seen again during an incident which took place on the 22nd of February 1803. On that day, fishermen working along the Harayadori coast in Hitachi Province on Japan's eastern shore noticed something drifting in the Pacific waters. It was immediately apparent that the object was unlike anything they had ever seen before.
And by the time they climbed into their boat and began rowing towards it, they realized it was perhaps the strangest sight of their lives. The object floating in the water was some 18 ft wide and nearly 11 ft tall and was described as being shaped similar to a traditional Japanese incense burner or a rice bowl. Apparently, the construction of this large object was very intricate with the upper half seemingly crafted from a stained deep red rosewood while the lower portion was plated with heavy metal, what they guessed was bronze or
iron. After approaching the vessel, the fishermen towed it back to land where curious villagers gathered around the strange object, which featured several windows made of some kind of glass or crystal, each protected by metal bars. Through these transparent panes, the onlookers peered inside and saw walls decorated with mysterious symbols and text in an unknown writing system.
The interior itself was reported to have been furnished with two extraordinarily soft carpets of unfamiliar fabric covering the floor. Reports indicate the presence of a bottle of water, some kind of cake or baked good, and some kind of meat inside as well. But all of that aside, the most interesting secret stored within this vessel was apparently a young woman approximately 18 to 20 years old and standing just under 5 ft tall.
To give some historical backing to this, the earliest recorded documentation of the incident, which has been preserved, is found in Oshuku Zaki, also called miscellaneous notes from the Nightingale Inn, written by Kayi Norimira around 1815. This is the entire account along with an illustration of the object and the woman. Other accounts came later with much more details, but this seems to be the closest to a raw account.
Allegedly, the woman's appearance was foreign to the witnesses. Her skin was described as pale pink or snow white. She had striking red hair that extended down her back adorned with white extensions that might have been made from fur or finely woven white fabric. Even her eyebrows were red.
It's writtenthat she wore flowing garments crafted from materials no one could identify. elegant and unlike anything in Japanese fashion. Even more strange, the woman was clutching a light colored wooden box around 9 in long, holding it protectively and refusing anyone's attempt to touch or examine it. When the fisherman tried communicating, she responded in a language unintelligible to them, though she remained courteous and friendly despite the language barrier.
Ultimately, following what seemed to be an old tradition for such vessels, they placed the woman back inside and pushed her back out to sea. After that, the current supposedly pulled her away and neither her nor the object was ever seen again. Little bit of a disclaimer here. Obviously, it's kind of difficult to separate fact from fiction with this story because for the first some 15 years of its existence, it was only recorded through oral tradition before it was written down on that page.
As a result, we'll never truly be able to verify this account or verify what these people saw specifically. So, we'll never really know what this was, if it ever even existed. The San Pedro Mountains Mummy. In June 1934, two gold miners named Cecil Maine and Frank Carr were digging through a promising vein in Wyoming's San Pedro Mountains, about 60 mi southwest of the city of Casper.
They'd been following gold deeper into rock when it vanished behind solid stone. They set up dynamite and blasted through. They waited a moment for the dust to settle, and once it did, they found that they had revealed a small sealed cave some 15 ft deep and just 4 ft high. Not even enough room to stand up straight.
Inside, sitting cross-legged on a ledge, what appeared to be a tiny mummyike figure barely 6 and 1/2 in tall in its seated position. The figure was remarkably preserved by the arid climate, and upon closer inspection, it appeared not to be a statue, but an actual mummy. Its brown, wrinkled skin was intact along with visible fingernails.
The head appeared flattened with a low forehead, bulging eyes, and a wide mouth. A dark gelatinous substance covered the skull. The miners brought it to Casper where it became a sensation. Scientists arrived with many convinced the finding was pseudoarchchaeological or some sort of a strange hoax. What could this even be really? How could anyone, even a seated child, be barely 6 and 1/2 in tall? The scientists decided they would put it through a test to determine for sure what this thing was.
They brought it to a lab where it was put under X-rays. Immediately, it became clear that this was no hoax. The miners were telling the truth. It was a true honest to God mummy of a human being. A complete skeletal structure could be seen inside with vertebrae, ribs, and limb bones intact. Disturbingly, the slimy substance around the skull was found to be congealed blood and brain tissue.
But this wasn't the most horrifying part. Upon further analysis, it became clear that the mummy showed signs of an extremely violent death. The spine was damaged, a collar bone was broken, and the skull showed massive trauma. What made this discovery especially intriguing was the fact that it seemed to validate a peculiar creature often described in Native American folklore.
The Shosonyi had long told stories of the Namirar, a race of tiny, aggressive people who stood between 20 in and 3 ft tall. According to legend, these beings attacked with poisoned arrows and killed their own sick and elderly with blows to the head. The name roughly translates to people eaters. The mummy changed hands repeatedly with each new owner seemingly attributing wilder and wilder claims to the small figure.
Some suggested that it was thousands upon thousands of years old, others that it was a missing link in human evolution. In the late 1940s, it was brought to Dr. Harry Shapiro, curator of biological anthropology at the American Museum of Natural History. Shapiro conducted extensive examinations and X-rays, sharing findings with Dr.
George Gil at the University of Wyoming. Both reached the same conclusion. Despite sensational reports claiming adult vertebrae and pointed teeth, the truth was much more tragic. The mummy was an infant, likely still born or having passed away within hours after its birth, suffering from ancephille. This birth defect results in the absence of major brain and skull portions.
Infants with anphille have flattened skulls, bulging eyes, and unusual facial features making them appear oddly adult-like despite their tiny size. The damaged bones, which were interpreted as resulting from a violent death, were actually characteristics of the condition itself. The child's peculiar appearance was not due to it being some evil mythological creature.
It was nothing more than a tiny, helpless, innocent victim, more than likely preserved in a cave by his grieving family. After that, the mummy, who by this point had been named Pedro, vanished. In 1950, the mummy ended up in thepossession of Leonard Wadler in New York, supposedly for study. Wadler reportedly showed it privately until 1975 when he moved to Florida and he died there in the 1980s.
The family claims they have no knowledge of Pedro's whereabouts and the little guy has been missing ever since. Bitcoin hard drive buried in Newport landfill. Yeah, you already know this one's going to be tragic. [music] James Howells is a computer engineer from Newport, Wales. Back in early 2009, when Bitcoin was just a brand new digital currency, something way ahead of its time and completely worthless in terms of its individual monetary value, Howells got involved.
Put simply, to create Bitcoin, people use computers to solve difficult puzzles in a process called Bitcoin mining. And that's what Howells did on his Dell laptop. He mined about 8,000 bitcoins for himself over a few months. And at the time, each one was worth essentially nothing. A fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a penny.
Fast forward a few years to the summer of 2013. Howells was cleaning out his office after spilling lemonade on his old laptop. He took apart the machine, saving some parts and placing others into a black garbage bag while he figured out what to do with them. That bag included the hard drive holding the private key to his Bitcoin.
Essentially, the long, complex, ultra seccure password he needed to access his Bitcoin wallet. Without that key, the Bitcoin would be unaccessible. By this point, Bitcoin was now trading at something like $100 a coin. So, he had already made a pretty penny off his early investment, sitting on around $800,000.
But here's the crazy part. He had no idea that he had $800,000 worth of Bitcoin in his wallet. The novelty of Bitcoin mining wore off fairly quickly for him. And because the laptop fan got loud when mining for the coins, he stopped. By the time Bitcoin began gaining value, he had already stopped following the project.
He still had the private key saved to the hard drive, but it had been all but forgotten by the time he placed it in that bag. I'm sure you can pretty much piece the next part of the story together. His then partner, Hafina, mistook the bag for regular trash and tossed it. According to her, Howells basically begged her to throw the items away for him, and as a result, she denies being responsible for the loss.
It only took a few months after that for Howells to realize his mistake. In November of that year, he became aware of the skyrocketing value of Bitcoin. By the end of that month, those 8,000 coins were suddenly worth $1,000 each, meaning he had just thrown away a hard drive [music] containing $8 million. The landfill the trash was brought to, the Docway landfill, was massive, covering acres and piled with over a million tons of waste.
The hard drive landed in a specific section called cell 2 and was buried 3 to 5 ft deep under thousands of tons of garbage. Howells approached the Newport city council right away, but they said no to any search, citing huge costs, environmental risks like releasing toxins, and the slim chance of finding one tiny drive intact after years of compression and corrosion.
Howell spent the next decade fighting for permission to search the area, even offering the council 25% of the recovered value, over $70 million, to be used for community relief during CO. But still, they refused, saying excavation violated their permits. By 2022, he formulated a plan to use AI scanners, robotic dogs, drones, and experts who'd recovered data from space shuttle crashes.
He secured funding from hedge funds and venture capitalists, promising them a cut if the drive was located. As a result, the budget skyrocketed to $13 million. By December of 2024, he filed a lawsuit against the city for nearly $600 million claiming rights to his property. Obviously, this was kind of ridiculous and it was dismissed the following month by a high court judge ruling that the city council owned everything in the dump.
In February, with the site set to close, he offered to buy the entire landfill, but got no response. By August of 2025, after racking up $150,000 in legal fees, he gave up the physical search. At the time of recording this video, that Bitcoin is worth $750 [music] million. It was worth even more in October of 2025 when the Bitcoin price peaked at $124,000 each.
And at that time, the Bitcoin on the hard drive would have been worth just under a billion. The Valencia Chalice The Valencia Chalice is a small cup mounted on a medieval base adorned with gold, pearls, rubies, and emeralds standing 17 cm tall. That simple stone cup at the top, according to tradition and increasingly compelling evidence, very well may be the actual chalice held and used by Jesus Christ at the Last Supper 2,000 years ago.
Archaeological studies, particularly work by Professor Antonio Beltran, published in 1960, dated the cup between the 2n century BC and the 1st century AD, placing it precisely in the time ofChrist. More recent research has refined this dating to somewhere between the 1st century BC and the 3rd century AD, which again perfectly captures the life of the historical Jesus.
The cup is a typical drinking vessel from the Hellenistic era, likely created in workshops in Antioch, Syria, and its style matches other ancient neareastern stone vessels. For the Passover meal, traditional Jews preferred stone vessels because only stone was considered ritually pure, making a cup like this entirely appropriate for the last supper.
The first explicit inventory reference appears in 1134 at the monastery of San Juan de la PΓ±ena. According to this account, St. Peter brought the cup from Jerusalem to Rome where early popes used it for mass. In 258 AD during Emperor Valyrian's persecution of Christians, Pope Sixstus II entrusted it to his deacon St.
Lawrence, who sent it to Hesca, Spain, Lawrence's homeland, for safekeeping. During the Muslim invasion of 713 AD, the chalice was hidden in the Pyrenees mountains along the French and Spanish border for centuries before it finally made its way to Valencia Cathedral in 1437. It has remained there ever since. For these reasons, it has been referred to as a candidate for the true Holy Grail.
If such a mythical object exists, this would be it. The Rohunk CEX. In 1838, a Hungarian nobleman named Gustav Batani donated his massive personal library to the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Among the 30,000 books transferred from his estate in Austria was a small leatherbound manuscript. The book measured just 12x 10 cm or around 5x4 in.
Despite its small dimensions, it contains 448 pages of text written in a script unlike anything anyone had ever seen. And to this day, nobody can read it. What makes this manuscript so perplexing is the sheer number of symbols it contains. Most alphabets have between 20 and 40 characters, but researchers have counted around 800 distinct symbols throughout the codeex, approximately 10 times more than any known alphabet.
The symbols appear to be written from right to left, suggested by the justified right margin, and each page contains between 9 and 14 rows of these mysterious characters. The book was found to contain a watermark depicting an anchor inside of a circle underneath a six-pointed star, which can be traced to 1530s Venice.
This established that this physical manuscript, at least couldn't have been created before that date, although the actual text it contains could have been copied from some earlier source which was originally composed much earlier. The manuscript also contains somewhere between 87 and 93 handdrawn illustrations, mostly Christian. There are depictions of biblical scenes such as the nativity, the crucifixion, the last judgment, the trinity, and archangels.
Numerous attempts have been made to decode the text of the manuscript, but so far all have failed. Starlight In 1985, 55 people died in just 40 seconds during the British Air Tours Flight 28M disaster at Manchester airport. This tragedy inspired Maurice Ward, a hairdresser from Hurdlepool, England, to create something remarkable.
He was just a ladies hairdresser who enjoyed mixing chemicals in his spare time, creating his own hair dyes and treatments. After the Manchester disaster, it seems he became obsessed with developing a heatresistant, non-toxic chemical. In an attempt to achieve this, he would mix up to 20 formulations a day in his workshop, determined that he had made a novel discovery, which when perfected could be used to create an extraordinarily unique material capable of dissipating heat better than any other material on Earth. Remarkably, he
was apparently successful in this endeavor. In March of 1990, Ward demonstrated Starlight on the BBC program Tomorrow's World in what became an infamous, unforgettable moment. In the presentation, a raw egg is coated in the white pastel-like material which Ward had created, and it is then subjected to a powerful blowtorrch flame for over 5 minutes.
When the torch was switched off, the presenter immediately picks up the egg with his bare hands, cracks it open, and reveals a completely raw interior. Following the broadcast, it's reported that over 3,000 inquiries flooded in regarding the Starlight. The British Atomic Weapons Establishment invited Ward over for testing, subjecting Starlitecoated materials to simulated nuclear flash conditions reaching 10,000° C, and the material survived.
Even NASA expressed interest for potential spacecraft applications. Boeing investigated its use in aircraft fireproofing. Sir Ronald Mason, former chief scientific adviser to the Ministry of Defense, stated he was initially skeptical, but became totally convinced of the material's reality, though he admitted he didn't fully understand how it worked.
That's because Ward was absolutely paranoid about his invention being reverse engineered during testing. As a result, he refused to even patent Starlight, fearing that this processwould reveal the formula. He demanded 51% control of any joint ventures and would rarely allow samples out of his sight.
Ward would pass away in 2011 and because he barely even recorded how the material was created, the formula seemed to die with him. As a result of this secrecy, as well as the fact that Ward was notorious for constantly changing his prices and terms, Starlight never reached mass production. Despite interest from NASA, the military, and other large institutions, the product was ultimately doomed by Ward himself.
In 2013, an American company called Thermos Shield claimed to have bought the rights and the recipe from his family. But there have been disputes over whether or not that formula is actually the exact same one that Ward created. From what I can piece together, this doesn't seem like it's the actual exact recipe that Ward used.
And therefore, it does seem that Starite has been completely lost to time. No original samples exist to reverse engineer the process. Dyon Rock sitting for at least several hundred years along the Taunt River in Berkeley, Massachusetts, was a 40tonon sandstone boulder. It lay partially submerged, covered in mysterious inscriptions that have baffled scholars since it was first discovered by colonists in the year 1680.
Its carvings were etched across one slanted face that looked out towards the sea. There appears to be some kind of language inscribed on the rock, but it wasn't apparent exactly what this language was or what it was saying. There did appear to be images of humanlike figures, but other than that, it's very difficult to piece together.
In 1689, Minister Cotton Mathther suggested that the carvings might be the work of satanic explorers who perished before a colonial settlement. There is obviously no backing to that claim. By 1767, Yale President Ezra Styles declared them Phoenician, theorizing that ancient Mediterranean seafarers had reached Massachusetts.
In 1837, Danish scholar Carl Christian Raffen published his analysis claiming that the rock bore Viking runes. Working with expert Finn Magnuson, Rafen claimed to have deciphered the words Nam Thorins and Roman numerals reading 151, which he translated as proof that Norse explorer Thorin Carlphanie had claimed the land.
This interpretation ignited enthusiasm surrounding the rock and began to establish that it was compelling evidence that the Vikings had come to America before Columbus. However, the Viking hypothesis surrounding Dyan Rock collapsed in 1916 when original drawings were compared to Raffen's published versions, and it was concluded that he had actually added numerous lines to his illustrations just to support his theory.
It was then proposed in 1912 that Portuguese explorer Miguel Corte real, who vanished in 1502 searching for his brother, had survived and carved the message. The researcher who posited this theory claimed to read abbreviated Latin, stating that Miguel became chief of the natives by 1511. Apparently, the Portuguese government has embraced this theory and even decorated that researcher for his work, despite the fact that most scholars remain unconvinced.
It was removed from its spot in 1963 during construction of a coffer dam and was shifted a short distance so it could sit inside a small museum at Dyon Rock State Park where it remains today. According to most, the engravings remain undeciphered.

Welcome to "The Chronically Online Algorithm" 1. Introduction: Your Guide to a Digital Wonderland Welcome to "πŸ‘¨πŸ»‍πŸš€The Chronically Online AlgorithmπŸ‘½". From its header—a chaotic tapestry of emoticons and symbols—to its relentless posting schedule, the blog is a direct reflection of a mind processing a constant, high-volume stream of digital information. At first glance, it might seem like an indecipherable storm of links, videos, and cultural artifacts. Think of it as a living archive or a public digital scrapbook, charting a journey through a universe of interconnected ideas that span from ancient mysticism to cutting-edge technology and political commentary. The purpose of this primer is to act as your guide. We will map out the main recurring themes that form the intellectual backbone of the blog, helping you navigate its vast and eclectic collection of content and find the topics that spark your own curiosity. 2. The Core Themes: A Map of the Territory While the blog's content is incredibly diverse, it consistently revolves around a few central pillars of interest. These pillars are drawn from the author's "INTERESTORNADO," a list that reveals a deep fascination with hidden systems, alternative knowledge, and the future of humanity. This guide will introduce you to the three major themes that anchor the blog's explorations: * Esotericism & Spirituality * Conspiracy & Alternative Theories * Technology & Futurism Let's begin our journey by exploring the first and most prominent theme: the search for hidden spiritual knowledge. 3. Theme 1: Esotericism & The Search for Hidden Knowledge A significant portion of the blog is dedicated to Esotericism, which refers to spiritual traditions that explore hidden knowledge and the deeper, unseen meanings of existence. It is a path of self-discovery that encourages questioning and direct personal experience. The blog itself offers a concise definition in its "map of the esoteric" section: Esotericism, often shrouded in mystery and intrigue, encompasses a wide array of spiritual and philosophical traditions that seek to delve into the hidden knowledge and deeper meanings of existence. It's a journey of self-discovery, spiritual growth, and the exploration of the interconnectedness of all things. The blog explores this theme through a variety of specific traditions. Among the many mentioned in the author's interests, a few key examples stand out: * Gnosticism * Hermeticism * Tarot Gnosticism, in particular, is a recurring topic. It represents an ancient spiritual movement focused on achieving salvation through direct, personal knowledge (gnosis) of the divine. A tangible example of the content you can expect is the post linking to the YouTube video, "Gnostic Immortality: You’ll NEVER Experience Death & Why They Buried It (full guide)". This focus on questioning established spiritual history provides a natural bridge to the blog's tendency to question the official narratives of our modern world. 4. Theme 2: Conspiracy & Alternative Theories - Questioning the Narrative Flowing from its interest in hidden spiritual knowledge, the blog also encourages a deep skepticism of official stories in the material world. This is captured by the "Conspiracy Theory/Truth Movement" interest, which drives an exploration of alternative viewpoints on politics, hidden history, and unconventional science. The content in this area is broad, serving as a repository for information that challenges mainstream perspectives. The following table highlights the breadth of this theme with specific examples found on the blog: Topic Area Example Blog Post/Interest Political & Economic Power "Who Owns America? Bernie Sanders Says the Quiet Part Out Loud" Geopolitical Analysis ""Something UGLY Is About To Hit America..." | Whitney Webb" Unconventional World Models "Flat Earth" from the interest list This commitment to unearthing alternative information is further reflected in the site's organization, with content frequently categorized under labels like TRUTH and nwo. Just as the blog questions the past and present, it also speculates intensely about the future, particularly the role technology will play in shaping it. 5. Theme 3: Technology & Futurism - The Dawn of a New Era The blog is deeply fascinated with the future, especially the transformative power of technology and artificial intelligence, as outlined in the "Technology & Futurism" interest category. It tracks the development of concepts that are poised to reshape human existence. Here are three of the most significant futuristic concepts explored: * Artificial Intelligence: The development of smart machines that can think and learn, a topic explored through interests like "AI Art". * The Singularity: A hypothetical future point where technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unforeseeable changes to human civilization. * Simulation Theory: The philosophical idea that our perceived reality might be an artificial simulation, much like a highly advanced computer program. Even within this high-tech focus, the blog maintains a sense of humor. In one chat snippet, an LLM (Large Language Model) is asked about the weather, to which it humorously replies, "I do not have access to the governments weapons, including weather modification." This blend of serious inquiry and playful commentary is central to how the blog connects its wide-ranging interests. 6. Putting It All Together: The "Chronically Online" Worldview So, what is the connecting thread between ancient Gnosticism, modern geopolitical analysis, and future AI? The blog is built on a foundational curiosity about hidden systems. It investigates the unseen forces that shape our world, whether they are: * Spiritual and metaphysical (Esotericism) * Societal and political (Conspiracies) * Technological and computational (AI & Futurism) This is a space where a deep-dive analysis by geopolitical journalist Whitney Webb can appear on the same day as a video titled "15 Minutes of Celebrities Meeting Old Friends From Their Past." The underlying philosophy is that both are data points in the vast, interconnected information stream. It is a truly "chronically online" worldview, where everything is a potential clue to understanding the larger systems at play. 7. How to Start Your Exploration For a new reader, the sheer volume of content can be overwhelming. Be prepared for the scale: the blog archives show thousands of posts per year (with over 2,600 in the first ten months of 2025 alone), making the navigation tools essential. Here are a few recommended starting points to begin your own journey of discovery: 1. Browse the Labels: The sidebar features a "Labels" section, the perfect way to find posts on specific topics. Look for tags like TRUTH and matrix for thematic content, but also explore more personal and humorous labels like fuckinghilarious!!!, labelwhore, or holyshitspirit to get a feel for the blog's unfiltered personality. 2. Check the Popular Posts: This section gives you a snapshot of what content is currently resonating most with other readers. It’s an excellent way to discover some of the blog's most compelling or timely finds. 3. Explore the Pages: The list of "Pages" at the top of the blog contains more permanent, curated collections of information. Look for descriptive pages like "libraries system esoterica" for curated resources, or more mysterious pages like OPERATIONNOITAREPO and COCTEAUTWINS=NAME that reflect the blog's scrapbook-like nature. Now it's your turn. Dive in, follow the threads that intrigue you, and embrace the journey of discovery that "The Chronically Online Algorithm" has to offer.
