There has been talk about it for years. A recent report suggests the Israeli government has a plan. A new city where Gaza once stood, by 2035. Here is my take: Yes. Those meetings between the Saudis and Israel? An ECONOMIC partnership. One of those massive modern cities in the desert.

There has been talk about it for years. A recent report suggests the Israeli government has a plan. A new city where Gaza once stood, by 2035.¹

Here is my take:

Yes. Those meetings between the Saudis and Israel? An ECONOMIC partnership.

One of those massive modern cities in the desert.

In this case, rising up on the ruins and the dead bodies of Gaza.

The Saudis, the UAE, Egypt, Israel—mutual investors.

Make Gaza glass and steel buildings, casinos, resorts, hotels, a golf course or two. Build a gigantic desalination plant to supply drinking water.

No more threat of attack. No more Hamas. Destroy every trace of that.

Bury the memory.

Make Gaza a Middle East profit center.

If the new $$$ alliance is strong enough, Iran won't interfere, won't touch the new city.

Invite outside investors from around the world. Build not only a city, but a consensus that money wins against politics.

In the Israeli war room, there are two tables. One has all the military moves laid out. The other is a model of the future desert Metropolis.

That's where this is going.

The government of the city will be essentially military. To make sure the world knows it's safe and people can book room reservations.

The New York Times will have no more pro-Palestinian reporters. They'll be sending food critics to the Gaza hotels and 5-star restaurants...
