The Death Of Heath Ledger - YouTube
Transcripts:
Hey everybody, uh, welcome to another episode of the podcast. I wanted to talk a little bit about the death of Heath Ledger and how there was this massive cover up of his death. All these questions that were never answered, all of these things that should have happened but didn't. But let's go back in time.
Let's figure out exactly how this all came to be. And one of the the simplest reasons is that Mary Kate Olsson and Heath Ledger got together because Mary Kate little bit of a freak right in the in in the sheets. She just is. That's who she is. And she's got a little bit of kink. Heath Ledger's got a little bit of kink. And if you don't think that Mary Kate doesn't have it, she does.
You know, she's very tiny, but she's extremely dominant. She can be a tyrant. She doesn't take crap. And you know, with her ex-husband, she would play those little grandfatherd daughter games, granddaughter games that her husband wanted. And one of the reasons that she stuck around in the movies and TV for a while is because one of her kinks was that she liked to meet actors and have sex in the trailers on the sets.
That's just kind of what she did. So then all of a sudden, she she meets Heath and they get together, right? And Heath has his own little kinks. Mary Kate enjoys some drugfueled afternoons, too. But let's go to the day that Heath died. According to the Associated Press, police estimated that Heath Ledger's time
of death was between 1 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Now, the housekeeper at the house that he was staying at, you will always see it. Oh, you know, Heath Ledger's loft, Heath Ledger's apartment, Heath Ledger's housekeeper. Thing is, Mary Kate owned it. She owned the apartment. She almost owns the entire building. So Heath's housekeeper, aka Mary Kate's housekeeper, Terresa Solomon, said she arrived at the apartment at around 12:30 p.m.
and approximately 30 minutes later entered the actor's bedroom to change a light bulb and found him lying in bed face down with a sheet pulled up to his shoulders. She told police she heard Heath snoring and left the room thinking nothing was wrong. A massage therapist, Diana Woolen, arrived just before 300 p.m. for a scheduled appointment. Okay, this Diana person was sent by Mary Kate.
Mary Kate is sleeping with Heath Ledger. She's not going to let some strange woman go massage Heath Ledger naked. And when Heath failed to answer his bedroom door, Diana said she called his cell phone and there was no answer. The masseuse then told police she entered Heath's bedroom and began setting up her massage table.
Then, according to the Associated Press, she attempted to stir Heath from his sleep, but he was unresponsive. And she told police that Heath's body was cold to the touch. Now, the police who respond to responded to the scene suspected Heath had been dead for some time due to the leidity of the body.
According to the Associated Press, masseuse grabbed Heath's cell phone. What do you think? To call 911, right? No, she called Mary Kate Olsen and as it was described a friend of Heath Ledgers. She wanted advice from Mary Kate Olsen on what to do. So again, you can tell that this is Mary Kate's masseuse. This is not Heath Ledger's.
If it was Heath Ledger, she would just call 911. Instead, she called Mary Kate seeking advice on what to do. Mary Kate, who was on the West Coast at the time, summoned private security guards to the apartment to assess the situation. Mary Kate didn't call 911. Mary Kate didn't tell the masseuse to call 911.
Mary Kate called her private security team. Crazy, right? So, after attempting to wake Heath up again, the masseuse calls Olsen back, tells her, "Ah, you know, I think he might be dead." Well, eventually the moose calls 911, not on the instructions of Mary Kate, but just because she's like, "This is the right thing to do.
" And she calls them before 3:30 p.m. Tells them Heath Ledger's not breathing. And the emergency operator on the other end instructed the masseuse on how to perform CPR. And paramedics arrived at the scene minutes later, as did the security guards. The security guards did not get there first. And the reason that Mary Kate wanted them to get there was to get rid of any drugs, any pills, anything like that, anything that could tie Mary Kate to this death.
Medical technicians at the scene administered CPR in the body used a cardiac defibrillator in an unsuccessful attempt to revive him, and the actor was pronounced dead at 3:36 p.m. And all of these details kind of surfaced after the fact. Michelle Williams, the mother of Heath Ledger's child, Matilda, came into town and she stayed at the house that she had formerly stayed, formerly, you know, stayed at with Heath Ledger.
Her mother was there. Bizzy Phillips was there, who was Michelle Williams former Dawson Creek co-star, former best friend, and then funeral arrangements were made. And then we got the autopsy. And initially, it was inconclusive. And a spokesperson for the New York Medical Examiner's Office said that more tests were needed to determine the official cause of death, that it was going to take maybe up to a month.
And police at that time speculated that Heath's death was the result of an accidental drug overdose. They confirmed earlier reports that crime scene technicians had found in the apartment in a $20 bill rolled in a manner common among cocaine users. But the deputy commissioner said, "Oh, you know what? It came back negative for drug residue.
It's a rolled up $20 bill. So already you can see that the the cover up was going on. And then the police told the Associated Press that no illegal drugs were recovered from the apartment. Well, why? Well, the paramedics did get there first before the security team, but the police didn't.
The security service beat the police there. Now, two anonymous law enforcement officials claimed they had found six different prescription drugs in the apartment, including one to treat insomnia and anxiety along with an antihistamine. These are all prescribed, but the New York police wouldn't provide a list of the medications police seized at evidence.
Said some of them were sleeping pills in essence, some other drugs were there as well. We're going to wait for the toxicology report. And Heath Ledger's family at the time was, "Hey, hey, everybody in the world, just wait for the medical examiner to make a determination before jumping to conclusions." And the family also denied that Heath was using drugs.
Everybody knew he was using drugs. His uncle just like, "Oh my gosh, no." You know, he wouldn't have done it. It just wouldn't come into the equation at all. And colleagues in the movie community, including actors and directors, casting directors, publicist said, "Oh, you know what? He had been battling flu and was prescribed antibiotics while filming scenes for the imaginarium of Dr.
Parnosis. H okay. Then we got this. Then we have this other video that came out as Helena Christensen totally distraught. And then the reports were that she was also sleeping with Heath Ledger, which Mary Kate did not know. Then we found out with this interview with his model Sophie Ward.
She's the sister of model Gemma Award who Heath Ledger was also sleeping with and said, "Oh no, Heath did not have a drug problem at all." And that, you know, when he was in Australia, he didn't, you know, he wasn't even drinking alcohol at all. He was clean, wasn't drinking any alcohol or taking drugs. He smoked cigarettes, but that about was about it.
He was drinking Diet Coke when we were together. Said he was very committed to not drinking alcohol. Okay. But what about his split with Michelle Williams? Well, he was a bit edgy. He couldn't relax. He said he was going to London but was quite upset because he couldn't see his daughter as much as he'd like to.
He was traveling so much. And I think he was just frustrated with it all. Well, then we find out that the Drug Enforcement Administration is all up in this. Think about like Matthew Perry's death, right? How they went after everybody who prescribed him drugs. Okay? Well, the DEA, they started, they wanted to talk to Mary Kate Olsen.
But how did he get a hold of these painkillers that caused this fatal overdose? Well, Mary Kate Olsson refused to cooperate with investigators. She twice told DEA officers that she would only give evidence about Heath Ledger's death if they granted her immunity from any future prosecution. And her lawyer was refusing to grant access to Mary Kay without a guarantee of immunity that protected her constitutional rights.
And again, the media was saying, "Oh, well, she was a close friend of Heath." Okay. A close friend, sure. Also sleeping with him, also providing him the place to stay, also providing him a housekeeper, also providing him a masseuse, also sending over security services right away. So, she remained a central figure in the DEA investigation because she was the first person called by the masseuse who discovered Ledger's body at Mary Kate's apartment.
And her initial reaction to his death raised eyebrows, right? Because Mary Kate, like I said, did not call 911. She didn't tell the masseuse to call 911. She sent her personal bodyguards to the scene. So, DA said, "We want to question Mary Kay. We we can't close out Heath Ledger's death until we talk to her.
Well, her lawyer said, "Oh, you know, Mary Kate had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath's home or his body. Did not know where he had obtained them from." Okay, then why do you need immunity from prosecution, right? And the DEA, I mean, they were there. They wanted to talk to her. But her lawyer said, "Regarding the government's investigation into Miss Olsson's request, we have provided the government with relevant information, including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger's death
and the fact that Miss Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed." What was Mary Kate trying to hide? Shortly before Heath's funeral, she released a statement through her publicist saying, "Heath was a friend. His death is a tragic loss. My thoughts are with his family." That is the coldest statement ever.
Everyone else connected with Heath Ledger in his death, including his doctors, the masseuse, the housekeeper, the business associates, they all voluntarily cooperated with the DEA. Michelle Williams cooperated. A DEA source. Oh, she was extremely nice and cooperative. Everyone's been very eager to help everyone except Mary Kate, who refused to speak.
So then the authorities got a subpoena that could make Mary Kate Olsen appear before a grand jury in case the negotiations with the lawyer failed. Huh. Well, we found out also that the drugs found in his body were legally obtained from two physicians with the exception of two painkillers, Oxycontton and Vicodin.
So, they wanted to find the source of those painkillers to determine whether they came from a fake prescription or were illegally obtained by other means. Did they come from a dealer, from a friend? If he had a bottle from a friend, was it taken by someone else before police responded? That was what was trying to be determined because again, security team a couple of minutes after the paramedics, but long before the police, right? I mean, it's absolutely crazy.
And Mary Kay got them from a dealer. And this dealer, I mean, it was a bad news kind of dealer. This dealer ended up with many celebrities who died under his watch, you know, mostly minor ones and stuff like that. But you have Mary Kate called multiple times. The standard answer was like twice, three times, something like that.
Then I've also seen the number that the masseuse called Mary Kate like six times. And now the masseuse said she feared a media circus that she discovered the body of Heath Ledger lying naked and face down on his bed. Picked up the actor's cell phone and dialed Mary Kate Olsson whose phone number was programmed into Heath's phone for advice.
Heath's unconscious. I don't know what to do. And she said that Mary Kay would send over her private security. Then the masseuse called Mary Kate again. I think he might be dead. I'm calling 911. So you know that Mary Kate's people were like, "Oh, we got to get over there." Notice at no time did the masseuse say that Mary Kate say, "Call 911.
" Was Heath Ledger breathing when the masseuse made the decision to call Mary Kate first and then second and then 911? Right. Who did this? Who made this? Now, how did Mary Kate make all of this disappear? Well, at the time, the DA for New York, for Manhattan, was getting ready to retire.
And this new guy, Cyrus Vance, right? Cyrus Vance wanted to be elected. Cyrus Vance was elected. Cyrus Vance is the one who covered up for Jeffrey Epstein. Didn't make him get, you know, the the higher level sex offender status. Cyrus Vance is the one that, you know, covered for Harvey Weinstein. He needed the money. He wanted the money. Mary Kate had the money.
Mary Kate in bed with all of these designers, all these big pocketed people. Well, we can make this go away. Let me make a few calls to the US District Attorney, the US attorney for the Southern District of New York. All of a sudden, the subpoena's gone. We've gone. And you know why? because all of a sudden the district attorney in Manhattan said, "Uh, you know, the investigation's good.
We're good. We don't need to do it. It's closed." Soon as soon as it was closed and then the US attorney said, "Okay, it's closed." And so Mary Kate just walks. Never had to answer any questions about it. Crazy. All right, you guys. That is it for this one. I will talk to you later.
