• 00:00 December 9th 1965 Around The American Canadian border is where this mystery would first get its start. It happened around the late evening when residents of Six States as well as Ontario Canada would witness a large brilliant Fireball fly through the sky with most of the reports coming from Detroit and Windsor Ontario areas. But this would not be the only thing Witnesses seen because as the fireball blazed through the sky hot metal debris fell to the ground in parts of Michigan and Northern Ohio starting grass fires. Meanwhile Sonic booms were reported in Pittsburgh before finally residence of a small village known as cburg sitting about 30 Mi southeast of Pittsburgh would report seeing whisp of blue smoke vibrations and a thump that might have something to do with some of the witness reports that stated that seen something crashing from the sky into the woods. Soon after this crash the Army ordered the area to be sealed off so the state troopers did just that and then waited on US Army engineers and potentially civilian scientists. Meanwhile Air Force personnel along with the state troopers searched over the forest and reportedly found nothing. This would only be confirmed by the newspaper the next day which had the headline that read Searchers failed to find object and just like that the whole thing was over. Yet. The mystery was just beginning because this led to several rumors about what exactly it was that fa and more specifically was it extraterrestrial at the time authorities tried to look for more plausible explanations such as a plane crash satellite debris. A meteor or perhaps even an errant missile test astronomers in particular were quick to push the meteor Theory while the Department of Defense eventually came out stated it was natural. Phenomenon astronomers however would continue to research the Fireball and soon established a general path that it had taken they stated. The fireball was spotted in Detroit around 4:44 p.m. which was based on 23 reports from pilots who had seen it likewise shock waves were recorded hitting Southwest of Detroit as it passed through the atmosphere. Then it flew on through the area going Northwest to Southeast and ended near the Western area of Lake ER. Although other scientists believed had actually landed on the Northwestern shore of Lake Erie. This would be the basic story for decades although there were a ton of conspiracies around the story that never went completely away and there's probably a good reason for that because in December of 2005 just before the 40th anniversary of what went on to become known as the cburg incident NASA would release a statement which stated experts had examined metal fragments taken from the kbur incident all those years ago and determined it had actually came from a Soviet satellite that entered the atmosphere and broke up. Unfortunately. These findings had been lost sometime in the80s but what they said was quite possible because just 12 hours before the crash at around 3:15 a.m. the US space command claimed the Venus bound Soviet Cosmos 96 probe re-entered the atmosphere and crashed in Canada. So it's possible. A fragment continued on to kbur as you can imagine the people really interested in this story. Especially those that believed it was extraterrestrial did not take this news well. That's when a UFO investigator backed by the Sci-Fi channel Leslie Keane would sue NASA under the Freedom of Information Act. Over the Lost records. He would go to court for a couple of years and NASA would finally agree to search for those records only after being ordered to by the judge. That's when the NASA public liaison officer testified that two boxes of papers from the time of the cburg incident were missing. Although NASA claimed that was not unusual citing the fact that the original tapes from the moon landing were also lost but that's when speculation switched to the thought. The NASA never had these documents in fact the people that investigated the site as you may have heard me mention were later identified as Air Force personnel and for some reason it wasn't unusual for military personnel in civilian clothes to identify them themselves as NASA in the 1960s but does that even matter not really in fact even NASA in recent years has went back on their theory that it was a Soviet satellite. Now stating the trajectory was too steep to have been a man-made craft more or less implying whatever fell was of a natural source. Regardless this hasn't stopped. Decades of speculation about things of a more extraterrestrial nature. In fact in 1990 the TV show Unsolved Mysteries would cover the incident and they suggested that it was a UFO crash. They based this on the accounts of local residents who stated they had found an object in the woods shaped like an acorn about 7t wide and 10 ft long with a bronze color. There were no visible doors windows rivets or seams and on the outside of the craft it had writing which resembled Egyptian hieroglyphics interestingly. The Sci-Fi channel in their documentary would enter interview another Resident who confirmed the story of the vehicle after claiming he had seen it hauled out of the forest on a flatbed truck by men wearing hazmat suits as well as stating the military personnel made civilians and reporters leave the area when they tried to get close. This Acorn shape has also prompted others to speculate that the craft was actually an attempt to create a top secret Nazi weapon known as the glocka or the Bell. This was supposed to be a wonder weapon capable of time travel being worked on in the early 1940s by the Nazis and then research was taken over by the US who kept up the research until the 1960s when this thing crashed however most Scholars State the Nazi Bale is nothing more than a hoax or urban legend. Others though have went along that line of thinking and suggested the whole thing was a secret military experiment that failed spectacularly and then was covered up apparently a local radio reporter John Murphy was one of the first ones to arrive and claimed to have even taken photos of it only to have it confiscated by the military. He would die a few years later and a suspicious hit and run accident today. Most people believe the kbur incident was indeed a Soviet spy satellite and more than likely part of one which crashed and was then collected by the US and studied. It may have even been a film canister from the satellite which broke off and crash landed in cburg. Likewise it may have been a US satellite that crashed or a US satellite which had a part break off and then crash and was covered up out of embarrassment. Of course you will always have those that believe due to its shape. The vehicle was actually extraterrestrial especially because of the so-called hieroglyphic markings which some speculated was extraterrestrial riding.
• 07:23 September 30th 1982 Sugar Bush Township Minnesota 3-year-old Kevin J aot was playing with some toys in the upstairs of the family home while his older brother Terry was making the bed he would be about 15 minutes before 5 when his mother Joanne walked upstairs to check on the boys before she stepped outside for a brief minute and returned and it's then she would make a terrifying Discovery because as she walked back in to check on the kids. Terry was still there but little Kevin had simply vanished not only had he disappeared but the family dog a six-month old. Puppy was missing as well and this had happened just within a minute or two of Joanne stepping outside and Terry had no explanation for it. His mother couldn't believe that the little boy had gotten very far and there was a good reason for that they lived out in a very isolated spot surrounded by a thick forest and a bog. Because of this she did not call the police right away and instead focused on finding Kevin herself along with the help of Terry but after searching for nearly 2 hours she eventually called the police who arrived on scene and also began a search before quickly coming to the conclusion that he along with the puppy had simply wandered off. The search went on into the late night going through the woods. A swamp and Creek using just flashlights and praying to find him before the temperature dropped down into the 30s but that would be a Monumental task because this was many many acres of land in fact just behind. The family's property was Forest and thickets that went on for about 5 square miles as the night wore on with no clues. Many of the original Searchers went home to rest while numerous volunteers and other officers would pick up the search when daylight broke yet. Not one clue was discovered. Shock began to turn to sadness as the Searchers pretty. Much stated there was no way he could have survived the low temperatures or the harsh terrain. But by the second day of the search new theories began to emerge what if Kevin had not wandered off at all what if instead he was somehow abducted from the home without being spotted or was it possible he could have had an accident and then was hidden by someone maybe someone in the family. Actually these theories began to gain traction as the search progressed and people familiar with the area started to doubt. Kevin was ever here journalists would begin to question Terry the older brother who was the last to see Kevin and he would relay his story of what transpired that evening. He recalled. They had gotten home from school about 4:30 p.m. and around 4:45 p.m. he began to make his bed his mom Joanne who was downstairs would go outside to wash the kitchen windows. It was about this time that t walked into his mom's room to see if Kevin had went there with some of his toys. But he did not see him so he went downstairs to ask their mother where was Kevin but she did not know either so they started searching around the home and and then when there was no sign of him. They searched the yard before long. The cops were called. Terry would take them to a spot where it was easy to enter the forest but he was not done because eily he would take them to a bridge about a mile from their home that he claimed Kevin had wandered off to a few times before. However this led to nothing either the search continued on for days but hope was running out that's when a break came in the case. On the sixth day the puppy returned home. He was carefully looked over as well as having gavette pump his stomach all in an effort to find a clue. The stomach revealed he had not eaten anything in days aside from Swamp grass. Police then got the idea to put a tracking color on the dog and let it go again hoping. He would lead them back to Kevin but the pup just kept going back home. The search carried on for 9 days and again found nothing no shoes or diapers which Kevin had a habit of discarding. Although there was no evidence this had occurred. Investigators did classify it as a non-family abduction but they admitted it could have just as easily been that he wandered away and died from exposure and was never found but if he was abducted they couldn't even say if he had been abducted from the home or was taken after he snuck out and started wandering around after the search was ended and the case went cold for decades something strange would happen. In 2011. Investigators began looking for leads again and ran his name through a database which revealed Kevin was now living in Michigan and strangely enough. His parents who had moved decades ago were also living in the same area as him. However when they arrived to interview this man they soon realized he had simply stolen Kevin's identity for financial purposes and Kevin's parents living in the area was pure coincidence so what are the theories. This one is pretty much straightforward more than likely he simp wandered off and succumbed to the swampy terrain and his remains were never found. The dog coming back supports this as well as Kevin having a tendency to wander off plus. There was just no sign that anyone had abducted him. Of course. There is the issue that there also wasn't one piece of evidence that supported he had wandered off. The second theory was that someone abducted him from the home or abducted him when he had wandered off. This would explain why a diaper and shoes were not found nor any other clue but it would have been awful risky to snatch Kevin from his home which means he would have most likely been taken from that bridge but again that seems unlikely as well. Finally he may have wandered off and was attacked by a predator like a bear or a wolf but again remains should have been found July 2012 in the city of kagali Rwanda which is the capital a nightmare story would start to unfold.
• 13:28 When in this short little time span three murdered sex workers were found in the streets. The women had been strangled and detectives first assumed the crimes were not related and probably disputes over money. However this would change very quickly because the following month an additional 12 sex workers would also be found dead. The investigators by this point clearly knew they were dealing with a serial killer and set up a task force to pursue leads while the regular police increased patrols throughout the city in an effort to try come the population. This proved to be ineffectual though because by the end of the month another woman the only one I can find a name for Clementine when babaz was found deceased in her home and this is where things get creepy. According to Witnesses a message was carved into her chest and stomach which read I will stop once. I have killed 400 prostitutes. Now. What's weird about this one is the police denied such a thing ever occurred. They stated that there wasn't any message carved into any of the victims and attributed it to rumors. However police did admit that on August 28th the killer had brazenly killed three times during the middle of the day with one of these victims being disposed of because she was a witness. The murders would continue into the following month of September and law enforcement was really feeling the heat. They would eventually arrest two suspects but soon released them when it became clear they were not involved. The biggest issue with this investigation was how many of these murders were from a serial killer and how many of them were isolated incidents. They began to look at motives too for the ones that were related to this serial killer. It was thought he was probably doing this out of Revenge after getting HIV from one of the women as at least one study estimates that 46% of sex workers in Rwanda are HIV positive. By now the man had the moniker the kagali Ripper or in some sources African Jack the Ripper. The killings continued but in November of 2012 police made a puzzling announcement. They arrested eight different suspects and at least one of them had confessed to the murders. After this they would not release any of the names. There was supposed to be a trial take place in early 2013 but it never happened and Police Stopped providing updates so more than likely the confession only came about after being coer by the police and those eight suspects were never involved. In fact the only real lead police ever had was that of a Slender Man about 30 years old who was spotted more than once near the crime scenes before and after the murders of course with a description so vague. There's little police could do even modern well-funded police forces which brings us to the key problem with this one outside of South Africa. Most police forces in subsaharan Africa are simply not equipped or trained to hunt down a serial killer. DNA is a noggo and most of them don't even even have a way to run fingerprints which brings us back to the scary part. This killer is most likely still operating according to authorities surrounding the case. The victim total was 15 in 2012 2 in 2013 and 1 in 2014 so 18 alog together. Although at least one sources stated that two additional murders in 2011 might be connected some think he eventually quit or was arrested for something else but the much darker possib ability is the Press simply quit reporting the murders either because people stopped carrying maybe because they were sex workers or because police quit telling the Press due to embarrassment or maybe just trying to keep everyone calm in fact. Kagali puts a huge focus on being a tourist City so it's quite possible. They have simply swept the killings under the carpet so Western Travelers are not hesitant to visit March 20th 1990. Kosovo Serbia at a local high school students would set down for their classes like any other day but some would notice something strange on their desk was a white powder of some kind perplexed. Some of the children began to touch it to see if they could identify what it was and it didn't take long to realize that was a mistake because these children quickly began to foam around the mouth which was followed by cramping and then ultimately fainting but it wasn't just this one school. Many from around Kosovo began to report the same thing and it only increased 2 Days. Later a panic took over the city as around 200 students and residents also contracted the same illness and were driven to a hospital to receive first aid or retreated ons side of the school or home. This would go on for a couple of months before it abruptly stopped now as you may probably know. At this time there was a lot of. Tension between the serbs and albanians living in the area. However they agreed to have a joint research group of doctors made up of albanians and serbs. They would jointly announce that it was an epidemic disease but refused to release any other details citing. They wanted to wait on blood and urine analysis first. However these samples explain nothing either although 3 days later they would site the samples did not contain poison. However one odd thing with this was it typically took Labs at least 6 weeks to make the same analysis than other parts of the world world. Yet. This lab in Kosovo did it in 3 days which of course added some doubt to the whole thing but it would get stranger. The Serbian doctors then came out and stated that the Albanian doctors were just participating in Mass hysteria. However the albanians denied this which the authorities did not like soon. The Albanian doctors were sent to jail for a few days. One was even sentenced to prison for months and was only released due to International pressure. The doctor's phones were also searched and they were threatened so obviously. Something was up. Because of this. The International Community got involved and soon a French doctor claimed that he had secretly entered the hospital and had obtained 150 blood samples and sent them back to labs in Paris which found they had been poisoned. France quickly put a stop to the research though in an attempt to preserve relations with Serbia now conversely a doctor from svenia claimed his research pointed to Masseria. This was confirmed shortly later by two British doctors who also researched the case but another International Group would take on the mystery and although they didn't look at blood samples they would go in and interview the children parents and medical staffs. One thing they kept hearing was that the students noticed something that smelled like vinegar. This led to the theory that the children had been targeted by some kind of nerve gas of of course. The Serbian authorities did not appreciate these findings and soon the media began praising the local law enforcement giving thanks to them for not falling for the Masseria created by the Albanian separatist. They also stopped Albanian patients from seeking Medical Care and they would even take away the licenses from ambulance drivers. They would also interrogate some of the doctors and rough them up a bit but it gets crazier because next a pharmaceutical scientist franel. Pavik was supposed to speak at a symposium about his findings where he claimed he had managed to isolate a chemical substance from the blood and urine but just before he was going to show his findings he vanished then. After this all the blood analysis disappeared and by the mid90s Serbia remained insistent that the whole thing was mass hysteria with one researcher zoron. Rodonovan a professor in Kuwait pointing out just days before the mass hysteria. A gym full of 2,000 students spread a respiratory cold and just a few days later more students got sick but the respiratory illness has started to get worse and cause many to faint or vomit. About that same time the virus would spread to other parts of the city and that this was all that it was he pointed out that with the 2,000 students none of them were seriously ill just an eye inflammation and red puffy cheeks. Although he conveniently left out that many of the patients died now what really makes this one super suspicious was right before this happened the Serbian government passed a law to enforce segregation between Albanian students and Serbian students. Serbs went to class in the morning and albanians went in the evening meaning these attacks. If that's what it really was seemed to be conveniently happening only when the albanians were at school so no serbs would ever get hurt in total. 8,000 plus albanians were hit with the illness usually just inflamed eyes and and facial flushing but sometimes vomiting and violent convulsions. I cannot find an estimated number on the dead. To this day the theories haven't really changed much one side. The serbs still claim the whole thing was mass hysteria while albanians claimed they were intentionally poisoned by a tear gas or nerve agent. There is one group in the middle however to speculate the whole thing was caused by accidental gas exposure or maybe even lead pesticides War Factory emissions citing kosovo's heavy industrial background.
• 23:04 In 1898 a Swedish immigrant named Olaf Omen would go out and start clearing his field of trees and stumps. It was here our next Mystery Begins in the small town of Solem. About 1 mile from Kensington Minnesota Olaf would discover a stone entangled in some roots of a popular tree. It was near the crest of a small hill above the wetlands lying face down at about a depth of 6 in the precise date. This happened on is unknown but it was most likely in August. The stone is about 31 in by 16x 6 and weighs. About 200 lb. One side has an inscription consisting of nine lines of runes while one side has three more lines of runes and of note. Here the trees in the area would be cut later on and their Rings were examined and they were discovered to be 30 to 40 years old. Meaning the stone had been in the ground before for 1880. It's also here we get our first clue that it might have been a hoax. Olaf would claim when he first found the runes he thought it was some kind of Indian Almanac. However Omen own books with counts of runes used by Scandinavians. He should have recognized these but in his defense it is worth noting. He never tried to make any money off of this discovery regardless. By 1899 newspapers would start to publish stories on this Stone as far as the text goes. It says eight Goths and 22 northmen on an exploration Journey from Vinland to the West. We had Camp by two scares which is a small rocky Island one Day's Journey North. From this Stone we were out to fish one day after we came home. We found 10 men red of blood and dead hell. Mary save us from evil we have 10 men by the sea to look after our ships. 14 days travel from this island in the year 13 1962. If this stone is genuine he would be one of the biggest discoveries in American history as the stone basically says that the Goths who were just swedes and northmen who were just Norwegians riched Minnesota far from Vinland 100 years before Columbus even attempted his voyage just a couple of months later. In January 1899 a copy of the inscription would be sent to the University of Minnesota Professor olis J Brea. A professor of Scandinavian languages who would declare the stone of forgery. He would then forward the inscription to other linguists and historians who all agreed that it was an obvious fraud. He was soon deemed as no interest to Scholars and was sent back to Omen. By that March. He is said to have used it as a stepping stone. He was largely forgotten about until 8 years later when a historian named Yar Holland would obtain the Stone from Omen in August of 1907. It would be his effort that would bring the Kensington Stone back into the Limelight. By 1909 the Minnesota historical society would begin its own investigation into the stone. The man that led it was a geologist named Newton Winchell who would get a written statement by Omen himself about his account of finding the stone. He also spent time interviewing locals and investigating the actual site. He also contacted more experts in Scandinavian languages who all declared it a fraud. One of the key issues found early on was the weathering of the description or should I say the lack of weathering. The inscription was sharp and easy to read which is crazy for a stone that just slid out in the mud for 500 years to make things even more. Sketchy was the time period that the stone was found which came about during a renewed interest in the vikon exploration of America. Scholars had been looking closer at Leaf Ericson's expedition to Vinland and it was heavily discussed in the Scandinavian community so the odds that this Stone could just change the course of history being discovered. During this time. Frame is almost too perfect. Another issue is the language of the inscription which was deemed to be more modern than that of 14 Century. Nordic language should have been but even at this point both Winchell and holand were too far in. They believe fully that the stone was legit. Holand would take the stone to Europe to have it studied by more runology. They too said it was a fraud but holand stuck to his theory and he could also explain what the Vikings were doing in Minnesota. He believed that the king of Sweden in Norway had sent out an expedition to find out what happened to the colonies in Greenland and Vinland and when they couldn't find them in Vinland. They followed a trail looking for the Vikings that led to Minnesota. He also believed he knew the path they had taken. He theorized the Vikings s around the north of Labrador entered Hudson Bay and traveled along the Nelson River leaving 10 men at the mouth of the river. They then reached Lake Winnipeg and entered the Red River. These men would then make their way to Kensington before 10 of them were killed. The survivors then etched the stone and were killed shortly later and the 10 waiting on them at the mouth of the river either went back to Vinland or were killed as well. Holland would even take the same hypothetical route from Hudson Bay to Minnesota looking for evidence and a nson river and Red River. He would come across two stones with drilled holes. In them he believed had been used by the Vikings to tie their boats. There is also one more little bit of possible proof for the stones that is the story of maca wasan a Dakota woman who lived on Prairie Island in Minnesota at the age of 90. In 1935. She would tell Anthropologist Ruth L that many centuries ago the Dakota seen a sailboat appear on the lake. One early spring. She stated it had masked heads of carved snakes and a great figure head with scaly body horns and wings. Top by a hores head aft was carved a monster with a beak. The boat had three sails and was robed with long ore. On each side were strung 10 shields and there were cabins above and below 38. Sailors of Warriors manned the boat. Their clothes had scales painted on them and they wore horned headpieces. They Carried Spears knives and axes on Poes. She went on to state that the strangers gave the Dakota Gifts of iron tools and weapons and showed them how to use them. The natives in turn taught them how to use bows and arrows and canoes. They also had no alcohol and did not have sexual relations with the women.

The general consensus has always been that the whole thing was a hoax with some people claiming Omen was behind it but considering that he pretty much ignored the stone after they said it was fake and considering he didn't try to profit off of it. It's not likely he seemed pretty indifferent to it altogether. So did someone else oax it. It's possible. It is odd that the only man who really pushed for its cuse was Yar Holland and even though most Scholars doubt its veracity over a hundred years later there's still a good proportion of people who believe this stone is legit. September 1st 1983. Napor New Zealand 14-year-old kersa Jensen would walk out of her home around 2:45 p.m. to go for a ride on her horse to a local Beach something not uncommon to the teen. She had actually planned to go with her friend who at the last minute canceled but as time drifted later into the evening. Ksa's parents began to worry as she usually did not stay gone too long and around 5:45 p.m. about 3 hours after she had left home. Her parents decided enough was enough and they began to search for her but not before calling the police to report she was missing and it didn't take very long to find ca's horse which had been tied up near a bridge about 4 miles away from her home. But Cura that was another story. There was not one sign of her. It was then that her family and police knew something was very wrong. Soon a huge number of volunteers joined the police to help search for the teenager but they didn't have much luck. They even turned to local rivers and other waterways but nothing 5 days later a $5,000 reward or almost 16,000 in today's money was offered by a local newspaper for any information leading to the recovery of kersa and although this didn't lead to the finding of her. Some some substantial tips did come in because the most important piece of information to come out was someone who noticed a girl that resembled kersa. Although he wasn't sure but whoever it was. He did see her standing next to an Old World War II gun imp placement at the mouth of a river. The girl was being held at arms length by a white man about 5'9 tall and 45 to 50 years old. The same witness noted a white utility vehicle with brown sides parked nearby and this did not end up being bad information because right after that another witness called in and stated that they had actually stopped at the gun in placement to talk to kersa who had a blooded face when he asked her what had happened. She claimed she had fell from her horse. Kersa then told the Good Samaritan that someone had gone to get her parents and they should be here anytime. This was followed by a third witness who told police around 4:30 just an hour and a half. After kersa left there was a white utility vehicle coming off the bridge. This time the description of the man was quite different. He was said to be brown haired and 20 to 30 years old. In the passenger seat was a girl and the man had his arm around her shoulders and he was driving with one hand. Now was this the same man that was thought to be 45 to 50 years old seen at the gun. In placement. The description was quite different but it probably was the same man. Police did believe that she had been there for sure though this was almost certainly confirmed when they found the horse's Bridal and hoof prints near the gun in placement as well as a part of a rope that was believed to have tethered the horse before it broke free. But more importantly there was blood but it was a bit odd in the fact that it had been recovered in droplets suggesting a minor injury possibly from coughing or flicking blood from a hand and that it had not came from a severe wound decades later. In August of 2024. Blood blood that had been recovered near the gun in placement was finally tested and confirmed to be that of kersa. Although the case did get off to a slow start. Detectives would eventually find out who this man was or at least who they thought it was and that man's name was John Russell a man who had already been convicted previously for sexual assault and this wasn't just detectives taking the easy way out and pining the crime on a previously convicted felon of a similar crime because when police interviewed Russell he straight up told them. He was the man who had been seen with cersa next to the gun in placement. He is who the witness has seen but he stopped short of a confession and other than him being around the Imp placement when she disappeared. They then fled out of the alley and on their way they would take a female employee hostage leading her out at gunpoint. They carjacked a vehicle belonging to another employee and took off towards the airport.

He would bounce around to New Orleans where he worked as a roofer for a while before going to Alabama where his ex-girlfriend in New Orleans would tip off the FBI but Larry would be tipped off somehow and escaped before they could arrest him but it was in that time in Alabama that he had several girlfriends. She did not know it's after this he would disappear for a few years before finally reappearing as Charlotte under the name Kenny brookens who was allegedly married to a Deborah brookens. This woman has never been identified and it's just as mysterious as Larry. But her and Larry did have at least one kid together and maybe more and they must have gotten comfortable because Larry picked up a job as a carpet layer and then he began working on homes and lived a pretty normal life even being active in church.
